Early Support Can Make a Big Difference

Early intervention is extremely important for young children. If you are unsure as to whether a concern you have for your child may benefit from professional input, consider coming along for one consultation to see what the clinician thinks. They do this every day and can give you peace of mind with their assessment.

Parents commonly seek help for their children when they see something that isn’t working as they feel it should. Often parents can identify the concern, however, other times it might not be clear. Parents always come with the intention of doing the best for their children and helping them to develop into the best possible version of themselves.

      Parenting Support

Navigating parenthood is filled with both joys and challenges. Specialised mental health services at PPATC provide compassionate support at every stage – from pregnancy planning through to postnatal wellbeing, parenting children at all ages and general adult mental health support.

Whether you are preparing for parenthood, dealing with early challenges in parenting, managing meltdowns, tantrums and tricky behaviours, finding yourself triggered in parenting moments, behaving in ways you swore you wouldn’t or don’t want to, or are just trying to work out the best way to approach supporting your child, there are experienced clinicians at PPATC able to offer personalised, evidence-based care tailored to your needs.

Therapists at PPATC help empower parents with the tools to foster secure attachments and strengthen parent-child relationships, creating a foundation for lifelong emotional wellbeing. They use an attachment theory framework for individual therapy, and run the Circle of Security Parenting™ program for groups or parents/couples individually.
