Registered Psychologist, Clinical Masters Student – Employee of PPATC
Kate is a Registered Psychologist with full and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA). She provides a warm, thoughtful and collaborative approach to therapy, grounded in evidence-based practice.
Kate works with individuals across the lifespan and has particular experience supporting adolescents and young adults as they navigate identity development, independence and emotional wellbeing. She is especially interested in supporting people through transitional phases of life, from adolescence into adulthood, into parenthood, and through other significant role or life changes.
Her training and experience is in evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Kate supports clients to better understand and regulate emotions, respond more flexibly to challenges, process important life experiences, strengthen relationships, and clarify the values that guide meaningful action.
Kate has experience supporting neurodiverse adults and is committed to practising in a neurodiversity-affirming way. She aims to create a therapy space that feels safe, respectful and responsive to each person’s strengths and needs.
Alongside her work with individuals, Kate is further developing her practice in the perinatal and attachment space, supporting parents and families in the early years of caregiving and relational development. She engages in ongoing professional development and supervision in this area to ensure her work is developmentally informed and relationally attuned.
