Katie is a Clinical Psychologist with over six years experience working in government and private practice settings. She brings warmth and empathy to her therapy sessions and is dedicated to helping clients develop a deeper understanding of themselves in a safe, judgement-free environment. Katie works hard to cultivate strong therapeutic relationships built on compassion, trust, and mutual respect.
Katie has a particular interest in perinatal mental health and wellbeing, in particular supporting individuals as they adjust to pregnancy or their new life as a new parent. She understands how our early life experiences can shape our current functioning. Katie also supports parents through grief and loss, premature birth and birth trauma.
She utilises a collaborative and flexible approach, applying a range of evidence-based interventions that are tailored to suit her client’s individual needs. This includes components from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema therapy.
