Ursula is a warm, empathic and friendly Clinical Psychologist, with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. She has experience working with children, families and adults, in both government and private mental health settings.
Ursula has a particular interest in working with women and families in the pre and postnatal period, and supporting parents with the adjustment to parenthood. She enjoys working with her clients to explore and understand emotional difficulties and patterns in the context of their own attachment and life experiences. Ursula prioritises the therapy relationship and adopts a trauma-informed approach.
Ursula has an integrative and evidence-based approach to therapy that draws on her training and experience in a variety of therapy approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation Processing (EMDR), attachment theory and Circle of Security, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Parent-Child interaction Therapy.
Ursula is experienced in supporting people with a range of challenges, for example anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, emotion regulation difficulties, developmental trauma, and parenting support.
