Ursula is a warm, empathic and friendly Clinical Psychologist, with a Masters in Clinical Psychology from the University of Sydney. She has experience working with children, families and adults, including with the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, supporting children and families presenting with complex needs.
Ursula has a particular interest in working with women and families in the pre and postnatal period, and supporting parents with challenges related to parenting during early childhood. She enjoys working with her clients to explore and understand emotional difficulties and unhelpful patterns in the context of their own attachment and life experiences. Ursula prioritises the therapy relationship and adopts a trauma-informed approach.
Ursula has an integrative and evidence-based approach to therapy that draws on her training and experience in a variety of therapy approaches, including Attachment and relational therapies, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Schema Therapy, Parent coaching, Parent-Child interaction Therapy, Circle of Security, Bowen Family Systems Therapy and Systemic Family Therapy.
Ursula is experienced in supporting people with a range of challenges, for example anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, emotion regulation difficulties, stress, developmental trauma, parenting support and childhood challenges.
